Text Box: OPEN DAY There will be an Open Day on Wednesday 8 September 9.30am to 12 noon, when you can come and find out more about courses, sessions in the Computer Room and what health and other activities we are putting on. There will be an Aerobics session which you can join in. You can find out about the activities and services in the Centre and more about projects like Streets Ahead. The Creche will be open for parents to leave their under 5s. The Café will be open and will serve lunches and refreshments that day.

COURSES

 

A Women's Self Esteem Building course will run for 6 weeks on Friday mornings from the beginning of September. Tutor Maggie Chilvers will encourage women to develop strategies to develop their self confidence and will include relaxation as part of each session. Creche places are available.

Text Box: COOK & EAT New sessions will start on Mondays and Fridays at the Centre from September. Have a chat with Naz if you are interested. Naz also runs regular walks in the local area and further away—again please see her or the leaflets available at Reception. All these activities are free and funded by the PCT.

COMPUTERS

There are sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings for people doing IT courses through Shipley College. There is a session for Beginners courses on Wednesday afternoons from 1-3pm..

The Computer Room will be open at other times and there will be a Volunteer there to help at some sessions.

Text Box: CENTRE CLOSURE The centre will be closed for the whole week beginning Monday 30th August. It will reopen on Monday 6th September. Text Box: CAFÉ Meals will be served again on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7th September—thanks to our volunteers Kevin and Karen. Drinks and snacks will be available on other days.

STREET REPS

Windhill Street Reps now have a constitution and continue to meet each month at the Centre. The next meeting is on Wednesday 8th September at 2pm. New members or anyone interested in knowing more are welcome to come along or have a chat with Alison.

TODDLERS

Both Toddler Groups held on Monday and Tuesday afternoons will be starting again the week beginning 6th September.
