Nutritional Development Work |
Introduction Our Nutritional Development Worker Nazia Naureen has been in post since mid August. We now have some new interesting things happening:- Cook & Eats, Walking Groups, Nutritional Information Sessions, Weaning Sessions and Day trips out. Nazia is still working alongside the volunteers in the café on Tuesday and Wednesday and is linking in with the Food Co-op buying fruit and vegetables for the Café meals. She is also buying fruit and vegetables for her Cook & Eats from the Food Co-op. |
So if you have a flavour for food, why not volunteer in the café? Come and give it a trial run and see how you feel. Contact Nazia for more information. You can try out some of Nazia’s recipes on the cafe page.

Cook and Eat: Friday’s cook and eat sessions will come to a halt at the end of April, this is due to a demand for more sessions at Windhill school. However, there will be ‘family cook and eats’ running throughout the summer holidays from July – Aug. If you would like to join a course please ring Nazia on 588831 to book a place. Date and times will be on the webpage in May. |

Day Trips Out |
There was a free day trip to the Good Food Show in June. We went to the N.E.C, Birmingham to enjoy free food tasting from around the world, and see celebrity chef James Martin. See photos here. We hope to organise more free treats like this in the near future. |
So if you’re interested why not join any of the above activities or volunteer and take advantage of all the fantastic opportunities we have on offer as well as improving your health and well being in the process! |

There is a walk organised at Yeadon Tarn on Thursday 29th April with the Baby & Toddler Group. There is also a trip organised with the Baby & Toddler Group to the Yorkshire Dales on the 26th May. The baby and toddler group have been walking since last year and have been to different parks in the Bradford area. This trip was organised as an incentive and a reward for the toddlers for the walks they have been involved in. |
There is also another trip being organised to the Good Food Show in Nov. This will be offered to the parents who have attended the cook and eats at Windhill School and the Cafe volunteers. |
